Short Stories from the News

These are several news stories I have found, and from them I have written a short story(or Treatment) which could be adapted into a short film.

Ninja standing in front of sign that says "Fight Me" leads to unexpected situation
If a ninja is standing in front of a sign that says "Fight Me" and holding up a sword for you to take, you might want to take a moment and think it over before grabbing said sword.
A man in a large industrial/modern place is walking towards his workplace, sipping coffee. His day seems fairly average, as he says "hello" to people he often meets and casually saunters along his way. Unexpectedly however, he finds himself face to face with another person, dressed as a ninja, blocking his path.  The ninja looks down towards a sign on a ground, which reads "Fight Me". He tries to move around the ninja, but is further stymied. Seeing no other options, the man picks up the sword, only to be ambushed by all the people he had passed on the street, who are also carrying swords.

Norway remembers massacre victims.
A national memorial service is being held in Oslo for the victims of the 22 July attacks, marking the end of a month of mourning.
A little girl is seen playing with a train set, quietly and alone in a school room. We see a shot of a clock, which shows the hour is late. A woman comes in, followed by the girls mother and the little girl runs to her mum happily. The mother seems happy to see her daughter, but also looks very tired and sad. Together, they leave the building and get in a car. The car then stops, and the mother and daughter get out, and stop at a memorial. The daughter is carrying flowers, and she lays it down on the memorial, and we see clipped onto the flowers is a photo of the daughter, her mother and a man which is the father.

A burglar in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, was disappointed last Tuesday after fi nding he’d stolen a TV remote control, not a mobile phone.
A young man enters a dilapidated room, where he evidently lives. He is carrying a brown bag and drops it on the table where he picks out a black balaclava. He goes up to a mirror, where we see him with a very nervous expression as he puts on the mask. The scene cuts to him hastily looking around before he pries open a window and jumps into the house. The lights are off, and he fumbles around, tripping and making lots of noise,  and alerting the residents of the house, who start to come in. The burglar looks around wildly, grabs the closest thing to him(which he assumes is a mobile phone) and then jumps out the window. he runs away and then stops- only to see that he's picked up a TV remote.
